Setting the Baha’i Writings to music is transformative. When I sing them, I become the instrument, and am changed in the singing. I set to music The Long Healing Prayer at my grandmother’s piano, which she had bequeathed to me in 1988; I felt her presence above the piano while composing. Singing it is calming.
