My pursuit of music has be eclectic and diverse. As a musician, I have always appreciated the technical, musical and aesthetic aspects of the instrument, which is why I have been so drawn to this particular instrument. The PianoArc 360 is a new exotic keyboard, circular shape, capable of any sound, 288 notes, more than three grand pianos of keys. Like a blank sheet of Washi paper to a visual artist, the musical possibilities are endless but still ergonomic, comfortable, a known playable layout in a new shape that is equally eye candy as expressive  musical instrument.

The works from the visual artist Lorraine Pritchard, that were inspired from the beautiful PianoArc's circular design were used as my sheet music for the compositions. Some compositions read line by line, left to right, right to left, down to up, brush stroke by stroke and color to color while others simply inspired new music as an overall impression of the work. All the compositions are meant to be played live with two hands only, some simple, some technical and tonally exotic. Although sonically dense dense at times, the goal was to create a recording playable live, not an overdub filled recording.

Everytime one steps inside the PianoArc to play music, one is uplifted to strive for excellence or to the audience simply to enjoy its multi facetted beauty. We hope you enjoy this artwork and music as much as Pritchard and I have enjoyed our creative consultation.
