Recorded all in single takes with no overdubs, these tracks are representations of what I do when I'm practicing or working out ideas. The result are pieces that blur the line between composition and improvisation. Some tracks such as "A Good Feeling," "Moroccan Reel Variations" and "Mosaics" utilize a looper, a machine that allows real-time recording, allowing me to layer guitar parts while I play. The influence of minimalist composers such as John Adams and Steve Reich, as well as Keith Jarrett and Pat Metheny's solo work were strong influences.
