TRACKS: 10 TOTAL LENGTH: 00:45:00 FORMAT: 320 kbps MP3 CATEGORIES: Inspired Music GENRE: R&B / Soul, Jazz, Vocal If Alicia Keys met Sade in a jazz cafe and they discussed Michael Jackson... they might come up with Shameem's unique brand of jazz-inflected soul. The golden-voiced Shameem and her hard-grooving band seamlessly fuse elements of 70s funk, 90s R&B and modern jazz to create a delightful tapestry of sound. Shameem's heartfelt, personal stories take her audience on an emotional journey, while her unforgettable melodies compel you to dance. In 2012, fresh off the release of her debut album, she had a whirlwind performance schedule: supporting such artists as Ronan Keating and Belinda Carlisle and undertaking a national Australian headlining tour. Shameem's album, already proven popular with community radio stations around Australia, is now taking off on USA college radio. Her track "Boy" has also made it to the finals of the Australian Songwriting Contest.
