We’re Back! It’s great to see you again.

Welcome to the new and improved 9 Star Media!

If you tried to visit us over the last couple of months, you found us missing, and I want you to hear the reason directly from me. We weren’t hacked, your data is safe, and we didn’t go out of business. What did happen, though, is that our hosting server suffered a catastrophic failure that destroyed our websites, the files behind them and our backups, all at once and without warning.

What mattered most came through untouched. Our databases, including your account, your order history and everything you have purchased, were preserved completely intact, and at no point was any of your personal information exposed.

Since then we have rebuilt 9 Star Media from the ground up: new home, new foundations, faster and more secure than before. Through every long night of that work, I kept thinking about the artists whose music and films we carry, and about you, the people who make this community what it is.

Thank you for your patience, and for coming back. It means everything.

Over the coming months you will see changes and improvements across the site, and they all have one aim: to make every visit uplifting, and to keep bringing you back for new music, films and stories that inspire.

If anything from a past purchase isn’t where it should be, please don’t worry and don’t go without it. Contact us, tell us what you’re looking for, and we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can to make it right.

Gift Certificate Instructions

Please follow these step by step instructions to get the most from your gift certificate:

Add any media you are interested in purchasing to your cart and when you are ready go to checkout

You will be asked to create an account during the checkout process. This is required so we can store the balance of your gift certificate as well as give you access to any downloads you purchase.

During the process you will come to a page which includes a section for "Discount Codes" as well as "Gift Certificates". The "Gift Certificates" section is what we need to focus on. In the "Gift Certificates" section there is a field which says "Redemption Code"

Enter your unique gift certificate code into the "Redemption Code" field and hit "Update"

A dialog will appear at the top of the screen indicating that your redemption was succesful. (if not, please reload the page and try again)

You will also notice a new dialog in the "Gift Certificates" section which shows your "Available Balance" listed. The balance shown will match the total value of all gift certificates in your account.

To use your balance to make your purchase, simple enter the amount of store credit you wish to apply toward your purchase in the "Apply Amount" field

If your credit is less than your cart total simply you will be required to select an additional payment method in the "Payment" section below.

Finally, click "Confirm The Order" and your order will be processed. If you have a "0" balance, you will go directly to your confirmation page... If you need to pay the remaining balance with an additional payment method (PayPal for example) you will be transferred to PayPal to authorize that transaction.

NOTE: You do not need to sign up for a PayPal account to process a credit card through them. If it appears to you like signing up is the only option please look for a link on PayPal's checkout page which says "Checkout as a guest" or some variation thereof. The only exception to this rule is that if you are using a Credit Card already associated with a PayPal account you will be required to login to your PayPal account to complete the purchase.

Once payment for your order is successful you will be redirected to your account page where you will see your purchase confirmation as well as any downloads you may have purchased.
