Ellen Treon
I have been a Baha'i since age 17. The only one is my family. I knew that Baha'u'llah was the author of the love that I felt from the popular music. The rest I learned and still am learning. I did my Baha'i music starting with prayers and was in charge of the choir and music at the Charlotte Baha'i Center for 5 years. I went to Chicago and sang at the Memorial Day concert and went to India with voices of Baha' in 2010. I started playing piano at 5 and at 11 my teacher found out that I was memorizing the songs instead of reading the notes. My folks put me with a teacher to learn the basics but I was bored. I picked up the Ukulele then my sister's guitar. I played warm up for a Baha'i group of musicians El Viento Canta from Peru at festivals and concerts in North and South Carolina including Lewis Gregory Peace Fest. "Baha'i Devotions and My Emotions" is my second album. The first was "Round-up of the Fireflies!" which I wrote all of the lyrics and music for but has no prayers. It is included on my newest album.
